Blakewater House was designed to evoke the charm and simplicity of a modern New Zealand farmhouse, sat on a one-acre plot that offers breathtaking, panoramic views. The client envisioned a space that harmonized with its natural surroundings, and we sought to bring that vision to life. Their satisfaction with the outcome, as reflected in their testimonial, speaks to the success of the collaboration.
The home features a central farmhouse with two single-story outriggers, both clad in beautiful Cedral, adding warmth and texture to the exterior. The zinc roofs provide a sleek, modern contrast while also offering durability suited to the local climate. Every detail, from the materials to the layout, was chosen to blend seamlessly with the environment while ensuring the house remains a functional, welcoming space for years to come.
BLAKEWATER HOUSE
Having just completed our new build project with Martin Silcock and his team at Tricklebank, we couldn’t be happier with the end result. It has far exceeded our expectations in quality and attention to detail. Tricklebank’ s caring, dependable, professional, and honest attitude kept us going throughout the build despite the hurdles that came our way.
You cannot beat the workmanship of Martin and his team. Every day they showed us how, what, and why they were doing what they were doing. It made it an interesting and exciting experience for us, and created an excellent work environment and relationship all round.
Martin provided suggestions and options at every stage to ensure our build was of the highest standard whilst also looking after our budget and taking care of our greatest life expense. The team were always on time, reliable, friendly, and hardworking and always put our interests first. We feel very fortunate to have found and worked with Martin and his team and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or work with them again.
They are the builders everyone needs.
