Birkdale, Southport

In 2005 we agreed to take on the complete renovation of this once beautiful home in Brikdale, Southport. The property had been left for a number of years to become derelict by the previous owner, to the point where there was a tree growing out of the kitchen floor and straight through the roof, the property was on the cusp of demolition.

The new owners Mr & Mrs Jonathan Stoker were determined to save the property as they wanted a true Victorian home and on their instruction we set about the project, the only addition was a two storey extension to the rear housing a new kitchen/ breakfast room and an indoor swimming pool and sauna below.

The project as you can imagine was fraught with difficulties which we overcame one by one, in total the build took 16 months, Mr & Mrs Stoker were excellent clients throughout a very difficult time never once wavering from their vision, without their determination and resilience it is difficult to imagine how the house would have rescued.
